Spring is around the corner and we are more ready than ever! With the vaccine rollout, we are headed in the right direction! We would love for you to check out what we’ve been up to below.

Client Success Story

Michael is one of our clients that utilizes both our Behavior Support and SDA services. By using both of these services, we were able to apply for a grant that provided Michael with an iPad to use at home in order to facilitate communication. His current programs focus on increasing his skills with Functional Communication, Time, Identifying Safe versus Unsafe Behavior, Emotion ID and Receptive ID.

He has gone from not being able to speak while at home to now having a voice with the use of his device!! Michael has been working so hard and even mastered one of his time programs! We are privileged to be able to work with Michael and his family and we hope that his success inspires you all as much as it inspires all of us!

Employee Spotlight

Kristena Partridge is our Family & Client Support Specialist and one of our Self-Directed Assistants. She started at PremierCare in May 2017 after working as a QIDP and DSP Training Instructor. She has been working with children and adults with developmental disabilities for over 10 years! She has been trained as a QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional), DSP (Direct Service Professional) and is CPR/ First Aid certified. She has also trained others in all of these areas!

She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Psychology from The University of Memphis. Kristena is now pursing her second Master’s Degree, this time in Social Work, from Aurora University.

PremierCare partnered with her school to provide Kristena with internship opportunities on site. She has developed valuable programs throughout her internships with us!

Kristena’s favorite part about her job is assisting families in finding solutions to their loved one’s needs. She also enjoys helping others achieve their own social and emotional goals.

In her free time she enjoys watching sports, traveling, and playing with her dog.

Behavior Support Services

Our behavior support services department is equipped with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and two Behavior Support Specialists who are currently enrolled in their master’s degree program in Applied Behavior Analysis. They are directly supervised by the BCBA. Additionally, we have a team of individuals who implement the behavior programs one-on-one with our clients.

Services are tailored to meet our clients’ needs and start off with an in depth assessment. A comprehensive plan is then created in order to assist with addressing specific areas of concern while also focusing on developing skills in areas that include but are not limited to communication, daily living skills, life skills and social skills. We provide support in a variety of environments as well and we can set up in person or virtual appointment to get started.

Spring is a time of new beginnings, full of optimism! At MyDay, this coming season brings a breath of fresh air, stronger and kinder than ever!

We are excited to announce the re-implementation of our community volunteer program! We have small groups beginning to head out and serve others in our community again.

We are also working on expanding these connections with other local opportunities! We are very delighted for this opportunity to help our community again!

Personal Support Worker Services

We are always looking for new innovative ways to make our programs the best they can be. Our newest project we are implementing is creating QR codes individualized to each client that has a Personal Support Worker. With this QR code, our PSWs will be able to track the goals they are working on more efficiently (and save trees in the process!).

We are currently hiring for various PSW and Lead PSW positions. All of our staff go through DSP Training during their first 3 months at PremierCare to best equip our staff with the knowledge they need for this field. During that time, they are working 1:1 with their client to apply their knowledge to someone specific while learning. All of our PSWs have ongoing support and supervision with their manager to answer any questions they have and if needed, problem solve together.
